About me
Click here for an interactive prototype "About Me": https://bit.ly/intro2me Portfolio: https://uxfol.io/katrush Website: katherinerushton.com Studied the Sciences at University then delved into the world of TEFL and teaching. Then I went back to University and studied Environmental Management and became an Energy/Environmental Analyst. I missed the connection with the consumer and switched to a career in community as a Community Manager/Strategist. I am hyper creative and enjoy connecting with people, so I studied UX/UI design with AllWomen (www.allwomen.tech). My final project - Wild Spy - uses gamification to help kids identify local wildlife (a combination of Pokemon Go and photo-recognition). The inspiration for this project came from my experiences in teaching, studies in Environmental Management and work on the Red Bull Mind Gamers project. I am a Global Associate for Sense Worldwide and a member of the AllWomen Alumni Committee My passions outside of work include travelling, kayaking, attending hackathons and participating innovation/idea contests. At hackathons, I usually take the role of the ideator/marketer/product manager/designer and I really enjoy pitching.
