I work as a Design Consultant for brands and organisations on a freelance basis. I have a strong background in Sportswear/Lifestyle Design & Product Development, I’ve worked across premium product under Neil Barrett and have experience from commercial sportswear brands such as Fila and Reebok.

    Lead Research and self-direct own briefs in response to gaps in Gaming-Specific consumer market, Community Feedback or Pro-Player needs with approval from Head of Apparel. Respond to briefs set by Head of Apparel with fully realised concepts/ design mood boards and marketing narratives at the start of a design project. Designing/developing all Apparel under the Fnatic brand, focusing on Menswear - including Pro-wear, Outerwear, Sweatshirting/Fleece, Jersey, Wovens, Bags & Accessories. Responsible for delivering all Apparel products to agreed deadlines and critical paths, even on tight timelines. Review and develop Design work from Junior Apparel Designer in line with current briefs and consumer needs/wants. Lead and present Design Reviews to the CEO and key stakeholders internally and external partners – E.g ASOS, Riot Games. Leading Apparel Sustainability Goals, reviewing textile certifications and implementing sustainable practices/fabrics and suppliers where possible. Review designs and implement feedback from key stakeholders and from customer sample groups. Brief internal Graphic Designer’s, source Graphic/Print Designers externally where necessary. Place sponsor logo’s in line with precise Sponsor/ Tournament Guidelines with the utmost diligence, developing a strong relationship with Partnerships Team. Producing Tech-packs across all categories, responsible for relaying relevant information on to suppliers. Lead Product Development, fabric and trim sourcing for all styles alongside the Buying and Production Manager. Partaking in fittings, providing fit/design comments. Working with external pattern cutters where necessary to improve supplier make. Measuring and reviewing all garments to specs, providing comments and notifying team/supplier of issues outside of tolerance. Checking top-line samples for production and quality issues.

Designing across all categories including Outerwear, Sweatshirting/Fleece, Jersey, Wovens, Swim shorts, Activewear, Essentials. Designing 80-120+ garments per quarter for McKenzie Menswear (best performing in house brand across JD), including Kidswear. Designing across all categories including Outerwear, Sweatshirting/Fleece, Jersey, Wovens, Swim shorts, Activewear, Essentials. Designing Fila capsule collections for JD sports & ASOS to a specific brief. Includes categories; Wovens, Outerwear, Sweatshirting/Fleece, Jersey. Creating Overviews & new designs after evaluating styles that have performed exceptionally. Evaluating the current market via comp. shop, visiting other markets in Europe for research & presenting findings and new fabric/colour direction to the Buyers. Developing a strong relationship, building trust with the Buyers. Working with briefs set by Buyers to create a collection that the consumer desires. Producing Tech-packs, responsible for relaying relevant information on to Product Development. Partaking in fittings, providing fit/design comments to development team. Working with in house development and also Product Development team in JD Sports. Designing & Tech-packing further collections when required, providing support to team members, reporting to the Head of Design.
