Katherine is a campaigns strategist and leader of high performing teams, at the forefront of some of the biggest and most high profile social justice and women’s rights campaigns in the UK. As founding Campaigns Director at Change.org UK, Katherine delivered multiple winning campaigns driving growth for the now world’s largest petition site and biggest activism platform in the UK.
For the past two years Katherine has worked with Grenfell United, leading their communications and providing strategic campaigns advice to ensure that the survivors and bereaved families of the Grenfell Tower fire achieve real and systemic change so that a disaster like Grenfell never happens again.
As one of the people that set up Change.org in the UK, Katherine grew and led a high performing campaigns team through a period of rapid growth, delivering over three campaigns wins a week including putting a woman on a banknote, No Page 3 and changing the law for 16 year olds in police custody. The platform grew from 1M to 12M users during that time and was at the centre of putting the tools of activism into the hands of ordinary people.
Katherine has worked with and advised leading international purpose driven organisations and global activists alike, including the ONE Campaign, Virgin Unite and Nobel prize nominee Jaha Durereh.
In 2019 Katherine founded Chorus Campaigns to bring together the very best expertise teams in campaigns strategy, social good communications and digital movement building to leading activists and organisations working to solve some of the most important and intractable social justice issues.

For the past two years we've been supporting the bereaved families and survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire on their journey for justice and change.
Our vision for the world is one in which we back those brave enough to push for change with their own story. We want the energy of a sit-in with voices from the community. The rigour of a protest where those in power are forced to sit up. We also want organisations and individuals to fund activists early to drive political change – building impactful relationships that last longer than an Instagram post or a news cycle. For that, we need activism supported by strategy; the public face and the behind-the-scenes team; the bold, the quiet. We need a chorus.

Over half of the world’s population is under 30 years of age and it is a generation which has inherited a number of global challenges – from climate change, to increasing inequality and intolerance. Yet too often young people’s voices go unheeded when decisions are made that will affect the future of generations to come.
As a part of the incubation team for The NewNow, I helped seek out and bring together a group of rising global leaders who will work together to amplify, inspire and shape decisions for our collective future. Leaders like Jaha Dukureh (anti-FGM activist), Taylor Wilson (nuclear physicist and science advocate), Alaa Murabit (medical doctor and peace and security expert), Jeremy Heimans (activist and movement builder), Uzo Iweala (writer and entrepreneur), Roya Mahboob (tech entrepreneur and education advocate) and Farwiza Farhan (environmental advocate).
The NewNow is being incubated by Virgin Unite, the entrepreneurial foundation of the Virgin Group. Virgin Unite has previously incubated The Elders, The B Team, The Carbon War Room and Ocean Unite.
