I am a driven and creative person who enjoys creating new concepts and marketing techniques. I have two years of industry experience in social media, creating innovative campaigns and digital marketing. My main role is managing the social media channels, creating innovative content and copy, and pushing to get reach and interaction from target audiences through brand messaging. I also manage the creative team where I make sure that the brand message is up to standard throughout the creative and production process. My experience within this role has given me the confidence to now explore the next steps in my career.
As an individual who has had two years professional social media experience, I understand what it takes to not only stand out against other companies/brand, but to bring unique and engaging content to differing audiences. In my current job, engaging content the connects both travel, fashion and the companies USP is essential in connecting to audiences, and this is something that I have to achieve on a daily basis. I am fluent in key social media platforms, with an emphasis on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube. I have begun to discover TikTok so would be excited to unlock more knowledge of this platform. My exceptional written communication and design skills allows me to design visual content that is engaging to the eye, along with copy that inspires the audience to make a change in the world, or to speak to others about it. I also manage the content schedule, using Facebook Creator Studio to schedule content across social media platforms. I also have knowledge of Hootsuite. Having to write four blog posts per week, I have the task of discovering new content consistently to be published online and on the social media channels. My aim is to educate the audience about something new and exciting, whether it’s a unique place to visit in a specific country, to content pieces around the brand story. I am passionate about providing the reader something that they have never heard of before, as sometimes blog posts can become repetitive within the travel sector. I have attached to this letter the URL link to the company blog page where you can see examples of my recent work. As well as creating written content, I am also highly trained on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. From these skills a design the visuals for the blog posts, Instagram stories and design new image layouts for the social media feed. For example, I decided that the Instagram feed needed a refresh to engage audiences again, simply by changing the size of the image and what background this was presented on. Visually giving the Instagram grid more of an ‘artistic’ feel to it, this has now reengaged audiences into the social media. In addition, I work with social media analytic tools such as Facebook Business Manager and Google Analytics to track activity on the social media channels and how many visitors come to the blog page. The ability to analyse data lets me understand what the customer wants and what they are interested in, allowing me to change specific content to fit the needs of different audiences.
Starting as a creative assistant at Gandys I climbed my way up into becoming an executive in a short space of time. I learnt the following skills and day-to-day tasks: · Copy writing: product descriptions, social media captions · Creating weekly email designs to be sent out to customers on the database · Homepage and banner designs for the website · Brainstorming and creating campaigns, promotions and online content · Photographing products in the studio to go online · Editing cut outs on photoshop to be uploaded on the website · Creating and uploading products through Magento 1
