About me

I am originally from South London and currently living in South London (Streatham). I recently graduated from University of Brighton with a degree in English Language and Media. I am an honest, organised, hardworking, capable person who is willing to work hard and learn new skills and methods of working. A very conscientious worker who is friendly, sociable, versatile, helpful, is able to work well as part of a team and in a busy environment. An adaptable, responsible, committed worker with good communication skills and ability to work well and communicate with people from a range of different age groups and backgrounds. Throughout my degree I have gained and developed a deep understanding of a broad range of media and aspects of the English language in detail. My degree has allowed me to make a number of short films and edit them on professional video editing software. My degree has required me to organise an employability event as part of a team which has developed my organisation, communication, time management and teamwork skills, as well as other valuable skills. I participated in work experience part-time throughout my degree at a local television channel (Latest TV), which consisted of travelling to different events/places to accumulate relevant footage for news stories, conduct interviews with guests or members of the public, operating the camera, editing footage, writing a script for a voiceover for the stories and recording the voiceovers to create news stories to be aired on the channel. I also helped edit and create content for the magazine and website as well as managing some of the social media accounts. My mentor at Latest TV, Holly Keogh, has since asked me back to create some more news stories and snippets with her including interviewing Caroline Lucas (Green Party MP) at a local gin brewery (Brighton Gin).
