Katrina Smith-Jackson is a Film & TV Writer from east London represented by Christine Glover at Casarotto Ramsay & Associates. Katrina is currently in the writer’s room for the fourth series of hit Sky Atlantic show RIVIERA and has just been shortlisted for the Greenacre Productions and TriForce Creative Network Script Search initiative with her latest feature script, QUEERLY BELOVED. Previously, Katrina won the TriForce Creative Network’s WriterSlam with her original series TILBURY RUSH, which received a Sky Drama reading, featuring actors Karen Bryson (SHAMELESS), Wil Johnson (WAKING THE DEAD) and Elaine Cassidy (FINGERSMITH). Influenced by Katrina’s British Jamaican heritage, TILBURY RUSH is a story of sex, religion and jazz, set in Notting Hill, 1948. Katrina is currently writing the pilot for an original TV series for BBC Studios and Channel 4 based on Katrina’s Screen Nation award nominated web series SHRINK, which looks at the stigma of mental illness within the black community. Katrina has worked in development at Idris Elba’s production company Green Door Pictures and was previously a script researcher on EASTENDERS.

Vital Regeneration working in conjunction with the Images of Black Women Film Festival and the Granville Youth Centre. In this project we curated a film festival for the first ever The AWOY "Audience With Our Youths screening, which will formed a new core part of the Images of Black Women Film Festival.
