Since May 2017 I have been intermittently freelancing whilst volunteering and I have been freelancing full-time since November 2017. I am interested in migration issues and reproductive health. I have reported from places such as Amsterdam, Lesvos and Athens and had bylines in Vice News, Broadly (Vice), Metro, Refinery29, the Vagenda, the Telegraph and Financial Times Weekend. Freelancing has taught me resilience and the courage to travel to places to pursue stories I thought were important. All my articles can be found on www.katyfallon.com.

I have been assisting a YA author based in Los Angeles (books, currently with Levine/Greenberg Roston agency & pitched to publishers). This is not a full time position and one which I do in-between other jobs. I help to contribute story ideas and help storyboard the books. As a lot of the story takes place in different countries, I research to ensure credibility and also fact-check and proof-read drafts.
