I started working at PMI primarily for the New Statesman but my role soon evolved to looking after five other publications in addition, Spears Wealth Management, Press Gazette, Blueprint, FX and The World Of Fine Wine. Here I am responsible for increasing subscription sales through retention and acquisition of paid subscriptions as well as growing controlled circulation registrations. Working at the forefront of the marketing team I am responsible for boosting the brands profiles by exposing them to new audiences resulting in increased circulation and as a result business growth. Within the past 19 months I have set up over 15 partnerships to further expose and evolve the brands whilst building and maintaining relationships with key contacts in media. As part of my role I also look after all marketing activity online and offline including e-campaigns, copy writing and design, PPC advertising, analytic's, market research, strategy, forecasting and budgeting. I create the content across all of the social media channels, e-marketing campaigns, print collateral and websites so am required to think creatively and on my feet around the clock. This involves managing the social media profiles with a collective following of over 5 million so identifying new social media trends and creating successful, engageable content is a large part of what I do and enjoy doing day to day. As the only Marketing Executive across 6 brands I am also responsible for the marketing of the busy events schedule. Throughout this role I have been instrumental in driving concepts for breakthrough projects which have resulted in increased profit margins and ROI.
A Direct Sales company which represented three key clients: LOVEFiLM, TalkTalk & Justgiving in business to business, business to consumer and events based direct sales and fundraising. Having proven that I could recruit, develop and manage a fundraising team at JMS Marketing in Sheffield, I was selected to open a Sales and Marketing office in Nottingham in April 2012. The company traded with PerDM Services who were responsible for providing the client and merchandise for the office, but I was responsible for teaching, training, growing and developing the team. I was directly in charge of all aspects of the business from PR on both traditional platforms and social media to recruitment, event organising, PPC & SEO, budgeting and finance, reporting results to the client and the day to day operations of the business. My key focus was brand exposure.
Due to company growth I joined the team to help develop and sustain their digital profile as well as coordinate co-operate networking events. My marketing role was twofold; to brainstorm and implement innovative digital marketing concepts and to increase brand awareness through networking events.
