Hey, I’m Kay—a multidisciplinary creative born and raised in Deptford, South East London. I graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Textiles, and since then, I’ve lived many different lives—all connected by my love for art and culture.
I’m a mixing pot of cultural expression, working across various mediums to explore themes of Black joy, nostalgia and craftsmanship. My work is deeply rooted in preserving culture, celebrating childhood memories, and promoting representation.
As an artist, I specialise in painting, illustration and textile design, creating vibrant and joyful pieces that spark conversation and connection. My creations range from stationery to customisations, each crafted with an aim to evoke emotion and inspire meaningful interactions.
Beyond my art practice, I’m also a commercial model and roller skater. My creative journey has led to collaborations with iconic brands such as Converse x Basquiat Estate, Starbucks, and Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, among many others.

The collection gives a nod to elders and peers that have influenced their artistic identity. This is the manifestation of inspiration blossoming into action. Curated by Abi Wright for Pinterest UK.

I work part-time at an alternative provisional school called Arco Academy based in Camberwell, South London. We create a safe space for what are predominantly Black teenagers that have been removed from mainstream school, helping these students to gain credentials and confidence needed to progress. At Arco Academy I use my art lessons as therapy as many of our students come from difficult home lives and are often easily influenced by unfortunate circumstances.
