I'm a multi-disciplinary artist based in South East London and a graduate of Central Saint Martins, BA Textiles Design. Through painting, illustration and textiles design I explore identity and evoke memories of childhood - often dreamy, tropical and vibrant in colour. Using nostalgia as a catalyst, I pay homage to my upbringing. Celebrating youth, Black culture and all things nostalgic - I use my platform and talent to uplift and represent those of the diaspora who look and feel just like me. Locked Pro Plan feature
I work part-time at an alternative provisional school called Arco Academy based in Camberwell, South London. We create a safe space for what are predominantly Black teenagers that have been removed from mainstream school, helping these students to gain credentials and confidence needed to progress. At Arco Academy I use my art lessons as therapy as many of our students come from difficult home lives and are often easily influenced by unfortunate circumstances.
