I am a creative designer and my designs are inspired from video games, movies and anime from a very early age. They have influenced me greatly and led me to pursue a career in UI design. I particularly find developing my initial concept ideas, right up to the final design, very exciting and rewarding.
My proudest achievement so far has been successfully completing my BSc Visual Effects and Motion Graphics at Brunel University; for my final year dissertation I chose to design a functional app for children to help them learn about space in a fun, interactive way. My initial concept for the interface design was inspired from the NASA app. I designed my own characters from drawing to digital animation using Illustrator and After Effects and then incorporated the background music to synchronise with the character movements. Presenting this for my final year project I achieved a First Class Honours for my degree.
From July 2018 I began working as a freelance designer creating print and digital artwork for clients. As a part of personal technical development of my skills, I am actively taking on work as a freelance designer and have produced some bespoke projects for small business from designing printed and digital promotional material to 3d animated intros for social media. I find it satisfying to see my work published. My work has contributed to promote their start up business.
This has been very challenging and rewarding experience but also a positive experience for me. I am entirely responsible for preparing meetings with clients, discuss concept ideas together, agreeing time scales for the projects and communicating at all times to meet the needs of the clients. As a result I have more clients that have been referred to me through my design work.
I love challenging myself so during my spare time I have developed some T-shirt designs which I sell on Redbubble.
I have a professional, adaptable and approachable nature. I am also self motivated and disciplined. I hope I have demonstrated my higher level of skills and qualities required for this job role through my portfolio and become a valuable asset for the team.

- TV EPG UI DesignThis project was for designing a new EPG for Wavo. Wavo offers popular entertainment content such as movies, sporting events and various TV shows from major networks and studios. Wavo is currently researching different designs for their current EPG and I was given a task to create a new concept idea for it.
