About me
I’m a designer and creative strategist with extensive marketing and communications experience. This means that I am good at articulating the challenge, writing briefs and directing creative outputs that seek to solve complex opportunities across touchpoints.  Always grounded in research, I am a conceptual and logical thinker. I love to create simple yet beautiful designs, often inspired by the imperfections in handmade elements.  Working with brilliant teams, I've had the opportunity to both develop new brands and solve complex product positioning challenges in crowded sectors. Often for global organisations, across a wide range of industries including tech, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, finance and construction products.  In my spare time, you can find me outdoors with my film camera or in the darkroom trying to perfect an alternative print technique.

  • Shape Shifters - Fruit Chews
    Shape Shifters - Fruit ChewsThe brand inspires children and parents to interact through imaginative play, encouraging spacial intelligence, as there is no ‘right way’ play and create. The product champions neurodiversity and believes that all children (and adults) interact with the world around them in different ways. Fruit chews brand for 3-7 year old children. Each pack includes 5 x 20g portions of fruit chews and 12 sticks. DISCLAIMER: This is concept work for a student project

    Aruma - Pottery AppBrief The Australian Ceramics Association has envisioned a community space for those interested in pottery and wants to build a younger membership base. Solution Aruma, meaning happy place, is an uncomplicated user interface enhanced by a minimal, yet vibrant, colour palette. The visual direction appeals to a younger, urban user and the pared down photography is inspired by the meditative qualities of making pottery. DISCLAIMER: This is concept work for a student project

    In a dynamic business environment, I created forward-thinking marketing strategies that reached far beyond the current business into the potential of the future. Having a marketing skillset that spans both online and offline, I have a global lens on the market that developed the company's international marketing position. To meet ambitious growth plans, I built marketing capabilities and delivered commercial plans while understanding the needs of customers and built key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maximising our connection to BP Launchpad. - Designed content and launched rebranded Fotech website on new Umbraco content management system which improved the user experience and led to increased traffic and reduction in bounce rate. - Management of marketing suppliers (PR, Design, Digital) using selection and sourcing criteria aligned to the business objectives. This resulted in a major shift in brand and media engagement (for example; 2021 saw 347 media coverage pieces vs 16 in 2020). - Created and implemented a LinkedIn strategy which improved brand presence and increased engagement, driving website visits and lead conversion. Led the implementation and training of LinkedIn Sales Navigator across the business. - Developed the Account-Based Marketing Strategy and Plan to target high-value customers in a targeted comprehensive programme that resonates with named accounts across industries. Lead Generation: responsible for developing and executing comprehensive, integrated B2B demand generation campaigns including email marketing, direct mail, and lead nurture tactics that deliver a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads. - Marketing Analytics: Conducted research and analysed data to identify audiences in a hands-on way. Define KPIs clearly and monitor campaign performance across all platforms. - Marketing Budget: Ownership and marketing investment sense checking, meticulous reporting.

    Progressing with the growth of the business to lead a 20-strong capability on behalf of the GM, Marketing, I implemented business strategy via a multichannel marketing plan, supporting and enabling the launch of new products into trade and retail markets. I held creative oversight for a portfolio of cutting edge campaigns including multimillion budget accountability, leading direct reports and a network of external agencies in marketing activities and media opportunities with measurable value return. In addition, I led a portfolio of projects spanning sustainability, business continuity and CSR to build wider brand awareness. - Assisted in increasing Gyproc’s leadership position and influenced the positive reputation of the company to drive future growth, launching new corporate and product websites that engaged an audience of +100K; - Improved overall brand value via pioneering marketing activities, including an education campaign to build awareness of dry wall plasterboard and the creative follow up ‘Leisure House’ (stand47.co.za); - Delivered a series of award-winning product launches, including the Habito Board in South Africa (habito.co.za) that received the 2016 Marketing Innovation Award for launch strategy and implementation; - CSR project Helping Skateistan, converting containers into classrooms to provide children with positive after-school activity.
