I am a commissioning editor at Old Street Publishing, working mainly in narrative non-fiction, including commissioning on the Shortest History series. I have been working in publishing since 2006, before Old Street working at Bloomsbury on their adult trade list. I was also an editor of illustrated non-fiction at publisher Amber Books Ltd and then Weldon Owen International, before working freelance for HarperCollins, Constable, Omnibus Press, Elwin Street Productions and the United Nations Development Programme. My experience ranges from commissioning and structural edits to copy-editing of non-fiction. I am experienced in liaising with authors, designers and publishers. I have also worked in journalism for many years, mainly in finding non-fiction books to serialise for The Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail. As an author, my books include Dark History of Hollywood and Abandoned Places.
