About me

Hi, I am Kingsley Barker image maker. My passions are lighting, food and wakeboarding/kitesurfing. I love to light and compose images, I am happiest working in the studio either alone or under Art Direction, I also love to shoot and am comfortable on location with a larger crew. I bring with me many years experience in Advertising and Editorial. I love to craft the light and compose the frame, I am confident and experienced with a full spectrum of lighting from a bottle of perfume, a car, or an entire street scene/landscape night and day. I have worked with some of the worlds most famous and respected companies producing international level advertising campaigns as a photographer. I have also incorporated working with the moving image into my life, working as a gaffer for films or lighting designer for theatre and art installations when I can. Alongside all the creative aspects of photography and film making my technician knowledge is second to none. I am a highly motivated and extremely enthusiastic member of any team and have worked repeatedly for regular clients, directors and collaborators. I am visually stimulated by all that surrounds me and have the technical/creative ability understanding and enthusiasm to create the unseen and realize a clients vision.

• A day off in CapetownA great day testing the light and some new ideas with a local model and stylist in Capetown. A great fun day off from our rigorous shoe shooting schedule.
