My interests arise from anthropology, psychology, and the interaction of myth & the fashioned body. Through my practice I explore how and where folklore manifests itself into an overarching visual language. I take an anthropological approach in my practice, meeting with folklorists and storytellers to collect site specific tales and translate them into fashion imagery using the location, body and clothing to connote the human emotions of these lores.

- The sky is only as far as we can seeThe sky is only as far as we can see was shot over a period of four months in northeastern Montana in the surrounding areas of Fort Peck Lake. The landscape is undeveloped, and mostly wild. Few have settled here into small towns and farms. Life is ruled by the desolate nature of land.
