About me
I am an experienced professional working in the interior design and furniture industry. I have worked with many high-end brands such as Moooi, Lee Broom, Tom Dixon, Vitra, Flos, and many more. Since the beginning of February last year, I have been employed by ARTE to fill the role of showroom assistant at the Design Center in Chelsea Harbor while my colleague took her maternity leave. Now that my role at this company is coming to an end, I am looking for work from the beginning of June.

I originally signed a one year maternity cover contract. However, this was later extended to include an additional four months due to staffing demands and good performance. My responsibilities in this role are: • Handling the sampling operation for the UK market. • Client-facing relations. • Documenting showroom visits. • Monitoring stock levels for front and back office essentials. • Contributing to trade shows. • Supporting the UK ARTE area managers. • Advising clients regarding product choices for their projects.

    LOGISTICS ASSISTANT, CREMA DESIGN September 2021 – October 2022 This company imported high-end furniture and lighting from Europe, the UK, and the US for the South African market. During this period, I was responsible for the following: • Reviewing and allocating all account receipts. • Creating and tracking client’s orders through our multiple spreadsheets and databases. • Assisted with editing items on the company’s website. • Liaising with suppliers such as Tom Dixon, Lee Broom, Vitra, and Nanimarqunia to obtain samples and catalogs. • Inspect new items being delivered to the warehouse for quality control. • Overseeing replacements or refunds for damaged goods. • Assisting the sales team with quoting clients. • Assisting the marketing team with photo shoot preparations.
