A Textile Design student at the University of Leeds, With a keen interest to specialise in knit and sculptural design. Now in my second year of University I have become particularly interested in sustainability issues faced by the textile industry as well as the social impact designers can bring into various environments. While focusing much of my work on these "green" issues such as bee populations and the welfare and ethics arguments associated with fish farming; I have been further fascinated by the use of new fabric technologies as a way to develop a cleaner manufacturing future. In particular I am interested in the work of Neri Oxman and Jalila Essaidi. In my spare time I am a goal keeper for the 8's Leeds University Hockey BUCS team, I am also a keen cyclist, having cycled from london to paris in the summer of 2014. I am also hoping to complete the Leeds half marathon for the Multiple sclerosis charity later this year. I hope to gain experience in these areas and am looking at starting an industry placement year from July 2016. This page displays various projects from recent years, documenting both college and university projects as well as personal developments I have conducted in outside time.
