Kitty Turner is a multidisciplinary artist with skills in illustration, design, animation and model making. She loves working across a variety of traditional and digital mediums as well as exploring new methods of creativity. She particularly loves exploring model and puppet making and creating multimedia experiments.
Since graduating with a degree in Illustration, she has been working as a book cover designer as well as producing freelance work and running her online shop. Some notable projects include designing commissions for the University of Portsmouth and creating Drawn to Light, a stop motion animated short film, which has been selected for multiple film festivals.

- Blossom the OpossumSomething a little bit different - meet Blossom the Opossum! I’ve wanted to try making my own puppet for a while now so I finally decided to just go for it! This is my first go at creating a puppet, so I definitely learnt a lot and found things I would improve on for the next one, but overall I’m pleased with how it turned out! I’m fascinated by puppetry and I love watching puppet-based media. I find it amazing how a tangible hand made object can suddenly ‘come to life’ and create emotion. Y

The story revolves around a small moth who is unhappy with the chaotic and dangerous life of being addicted to artificial light. After an intriguing discovery, the moth sets off on a journey to break away from the crowd and find happiness. - Discover Portsmouth | Kitty TurnerA commissioned interactive map for the University of Portsmouth's International Office. The map has a red filter that allows the user to discover Portsmouth. This allows people who do not know Portsmouth, to explore it, and learn about the historical, natural and contemporary elements the city has to offer.
