     - Tokyo, JapanPart Time
Employed as gallery assistant in an independent gallery/ select shop in Tokyo, Japan. The space exhibited artworks/ creations by Australian artists. The main purposes of the gallery were to introduce creative individuals in Australia as well assure contribute in building a stronger and vibrant local community in the neighbourhood we were located in. My main responsibilities - Oversee daily operations - Manage retail operation (IRL and e- commerce) - Create community ties As part of the starting team of the gallery space, I was able to contribute in creating initial bonds with the local community, increasing customers to the gallery. Not only were sales growing, ties between people were becoming stronger, which I recognise be have been the most satisfying element of my time there. This experience has allowed myself to understand and act upon community building as a way to build business. It was truly an eye opening experience, which taught me the power of communication, connection and community. Moreover, I also learned the importance of concept, brand value and brand culture for a business to truly succeed.
