About me

Ksenia Kulakova is an award-winning queer dual heritage director. Her debut feature film, Revolutionart, has recently won Best Narrative Feature, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor at Liverpool Underground Film Festival as well as being selected for Seattle True Independent Film Festival and London Lift Off Film Festival. Her short film Goldfish won Best Long Short Film at Here Kyiv Short Fest, screened at Kannibal Fest in Berlin and Bogotrax in Colombia, as well as being selected for BENT Film Festival in Sacramento. Her recent directing work includes music videos for Rina Sawayama, Phantom Isle, Hannah Rose Kessler and Brewer. Ksenia is currently developing her second feature film, ‘On Blue Ground’ and her next short film, ‘Edie and The Octopus’. Ksenia is an experienced freelance Art Director for narrative and commercial film. She founded her filmmakers’ collective, ‘We’re Making A Film’ in 2016, and as the collective’s acting producer has overseen and curated nearly twenty films in four years.
