About me
Kuan-Yin Fang (b.1992, Taipei), MA Sculpture student at the Royal College of Art, is an artist based in London. She has practised as an architect internationally, working on widely acclaimed projects such as UCCA Dune Art Museum (OPEN Architecture, Beijing, 2015-18), Forest Big (Divooe Zein Architects, Taipei, 2017-18) and Synecdoche Unseens (Taichung Harbour, 2014-15). Her work explores spatial extracts among Southeast Asian contexts, narratives towards sociopolitical dynamics and interventions in peculiar scenery. She also participated in several group exhibitions, including Invisible Borders (online, 2021), RCA WIP Show (London, 2020) and Air Made Visible (Domaine de Boisbuchet, 2012).

    As the project manager of a small team for the 2019 DRIA International Competition and Symposium, I was in charge of coordinating the research-based campaign with the founder and the directors. Detailed tasks include: structuring schedules; organising events and venues; corresponding with and accommodating lecturers, scholars and students from 13 universities; budgeting and accounting; release and promotion on social media platforms. I also worked as the lead graphic and publication designer for the whole campaign, contributing to the 2019 DRIA book and brochures, poster design and venue design.
