I moved to London from France when I was 18 to study music. after graduating I found myself very passionate about the music industry, marketing and social media, and started working within record labels, after now over a year of experience I am looking for a new position in company that I admire.
My work at Open Stage consisted of contacting clients, profile creation, databases updates, working on their social networks and finding relevant articles to share on their websites. I have also participated in Skype sessions where I was supporting OpenStage to potential clients. It really gave me a wider view of business, marketing and basically how to sell something, whether its a product an idea or an event.
In my time as a social media assistant at Mi7 records I learned a lot about social networks, people, what people like and what they want to see. I have had the opportunity to work with high profile artists and it really helped me to have a better understanding of management and online marketing. I also had the chance to express myself creatively when I was asked to create and design a new website for the company. it was a new thing for me and it allowed to me to now feel confident about my computer skills. The fact that I was french was also a big plus for the company, since I was able to contact medias in France, and look for possible new clients on french territories.
Having worked at Cherry Red before, My experience as a label assistant there was very rewarding, and allowed me to better my skills in a wide range of different areas; Marketing and social media being the most important parts of my tasks. Throughout the day I was also assisting the head of press, and was asked to be very effective while multitasking. I was dealing with digital releases, album artwork, international deliveries and many more tasks that made my day very busy.
