About me
I'm a critical and cultural criminologist who has worked for the University of Manchester on a project called Prosecuting Rap: Criminal Justice & UK Black Youth Expressive Culture which explores how the police and the CJS are using rap lyrics within the UK progressively from UK rap artists who produce drill and grime in order to prosecute individuals.
I also work freelance alongside brands, local artists and creatives in the industry to assist in the production of visual arts and music. This allows me to build a bridge between my two fields of work, one which focuses on UK rap, its relationship with brand culture, black identity, youth identity and class; but also on the flip side, the academic writings that surround the culture.
I also currently work as a talent manager and assistant producer for creative business Thirty Pound Gentleman (TPG) where we produce cultural projects both independently and with brands to connect, create and inspire. I'm also a project manager for a passion project in collaboration with live music agency Earth Agency and TPG. I also currently manage rap DJ and A&R Daisy Adams under TPG and Hip Hop artist El Zeeko.

Throughout my time on this project, I was handling sensitive data, analysing the data and was co-writing an article for an academic journal alongside head of the project, Dr. Eithne Quinn and Kamila Rymajdo. My academic discipline sits in critical and cultural criminology, in which I then apply to my creative and cultural work which focuse
