At my summer Internship with Five Hats International Events Agency, I was tasked with organizing a business event in Las Vegas. This challenging opportunity showed me how much I enjoyed fast paced project style work and provided me an excellent insight into:
• The Events industry culture in terms of travel details, booking venues and event set up
• Training in the programmes used, for example Cvent and Microsoft Excel
• The different stages of researching, planning and developing events
• How to present and pitch concepts to a client and understanding how important attention to detail is whilst dealing with high profile customers

I am currently one of two Event Managers for the University of Reading Entrepreneurship society. This gives full freedom to create and organise any events that myself and the rest of the committee feel would benefit the society members. This has included organizing events such as IDEAFEST, Brand start up weekends, bringing in Entrepreneurs to give talks to students as well as more simple networking events for the members.
