Release Planning CoordinatorSony Music UK

Coordinating the creation, maintenance and delivery of track/product information and audio/artwork for all UK & Ireland owned content. Main responsibilities included:
• Entering metadata into the Sony Music repertoire registration databases for all UK/IE owned content in accordance with compliance protocols and timelines.
• Generating ISRCs, product numbers and barcodes and registering products with commercial partners like PRS for Music, the Official Charts Company and PPL.
• Managing all new releases by attending meetings with Sony labels and the wider Operations departments and distributing schedules as and when required.
• Liaising with Legal & Business Affairs, A&R Admin, Digital & Sales Operations and labels to ensure the artist contract rights, genre and set up information is accurately reflected in our local and global databases and delivered to partners correctly.
• Scheduling audio and video products in the global scheduling system, raising tickets for video products and liaising with the media production teams.
• Delivering artwork and mastered audio files, liaising with and providing assistance to labels in order to deliver correct, high-quality artwork files, and ingesting audio and digital artwork into Sony’s asset management system.
• The provision of fast and accurate resolution of data issues by problem solving and liaising with the wider business to overcome logistical and creative obstacles, and providing suggestions to senior management, Sony labels and occasionally artist management.
• Metadata clean-up of catalogue SME UK/IE owned repertoire when required.
Additional Accomplishments:
• In 2021 I took part in the Creative Mentor Network x Sony Music 'Positive Influence' scheme, a six-month mentoring programme with the aim of giving young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds an insight into the music industry.
• I am also trained in Mental Health First Aid after completing a two-day course and receiving my certificate in November 2021.
