I graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with a BA (Hons) degree in Visual Communication (Illustration) in 2000. After graduating, I worked freelance, and then I spent a number of years working in agencies, working with both large and small clients throughout the world. I have worked as a freelance illustrator again since 2014.
During my agency experience, I have worked in both account and project management, giving me the experience to work well with clients and deliver projects on time and to a brief. I have worked with a number of clients professionally as a freelance illustrator, including Prudential, National Museums of Scotland, Dog Digital, Denvir Marketing, Badaboom Events, Glasgow University, Edinburgh University and a number of design agencies. I have also had a book published, Colouring Scotland by Laura Henderson.
As well as commissioned work, I also love to create personal artwork - having no brief can be a welcome challenge. My work is always drawn freehand, and includes detailed areas and pattern. All of my work is drawn using Staedtler pigment liner pens and Windsor and Newton Promarkers.
