About me
I’m a User Experience designer who lives in Surrey. I moved to doing UI for websites in December 2013 after working as a Graphic designer for a few years (2007-2013), and then into hybrid UX /UI design work in 2015. I enjoy all stages of a digital project lifecycle: gathering requirements, UX research, ideation, sketches, wireframes, UI design, prototyping, user testing and implementation.     As a key member of the Internal digital platform development Team, I led the Ux and UI design work stream. I created and contributed to the design of web sites and digital components to a variety of diverse audiences, in a consistent brand style. Achievements in the role • UX design and UI design for the student engagement mobile app. Between launch on 12th Feb - 27th Mar, there were 7287 downloads by the students. • UX design and UI design for projects that were built with React and Bootstrap 4, by the developers (University of Surrey websites) •Led the design work stream for the student app at the University of Surrey. The project involved development of concept from student and senior stakeholder workshops, to implementation, user acceptance testing and Lab moderated Usability testing. This enabled a successful delivery. • Guerrilla testing and quantitative questionnaires for the University's current students homepage re design and navigation. • For the Welcome to Surrey website , I conducted the competitor analysis of other Universities in the UK, Other ux research such as empathy maps, personas and user journeys , wireframes , UI design and testing the site. • Actively took ownership for the accessibility design guidelines at the University. (AA WCAG 2.1.) Led and guided an external agency vendor on how to incorporate these guidelines into the new student brand they developed.
