Who is Laura? Originally from the Isle of Wight, I love to be by the sea, but moved around the UK a fair bit during my childhood. I studied Graphic Design at College and then at University both in the south of the UK.
A highlight of my education was being elected Vice, and then President of my College. Shortly after university I became the Marketing Designer for a Tourist board covering the South of England, with the focus on an annual event held at Alexandra Palace. After this I moved to London to work as the Marketing Designer in an insurance data start up. This sector wasn’t for me, so I began my journey at Rungway!
I have always loved branding and communication, because I see the importance, and the effect, of a clear message and mission. I like to act as the glue between the teams, combining the industry knowledge and speak of Customer, Sales, Marketing with the consistent visuals of Design. I am skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, but for designs these days I primarily use Figma. This has the ability to easily share designs with teams.
One of the key marketing design areas I love to manage is social media, which can be easily automated using HubSpot.
What do I love?
All things Design and Creative! Animal lover, especially cats! (We currently have four…) Very social person, I’m more extrovert than introvert, but sometimes have my quiet days, if I get this way please reach out, it’s just what I need! Puzzles, yoga, painting, travelling, swimming, I’m up for trying anything that has a social aspect. Even though I was born in the cold season, I love the heat! I’m a Summer girl.

Attending meetings concerning the welfare of the College students, staff, and visitors to the campus. Contributing helpful input that will help to make the College a safe and welcoming place to visit, work and study in. I attend regular Student Board meetings to discuss every part of the curriculum, the student's welfare during class and break time, and to arrange events to take place at the College that will create a fun and lively atmosphere for which students to thoroughly enjoy their time spent at College.
Experience at presenting information to an audience, of communicating with a wide range of people, ability to work as part of a team and use initiative, the flexibility to cope with new challenges and change.
