Freelance print design and research development for a collaboration with a High Street fashion retailer. Under the guidance of the head designer I was conducting first hand and secondary concept and print research. I created the hand drawn artworks and then digitally manipulated artworks into digital prints. Creating 8 different story prints.
Worked with the team to create the hand painted denim pieces for the AW15 Collection. I worked independently to create his signature collaged tape fabrics.
Delivered all aspects of the studio assistant role including: administration, liaising with PR, marketing and buyer partners. Organising and styling the E-commerce Men & Womenswear shoots. Marketing collections through social media. Sourced and organised and installed retail spaces to deliver temporary pop-up shops. Devised, prepared and finished original artworks for the SS16 Collection digitally printed fabric for the women’s and menswear ranges. Commissions included; Spridd Collection IKEA release date Nov 2016 Collaborated with the Ikea design team to develop an interior collection concept inspired by youth culture. Researched and created inspiration mood boards, trends and produced original artwork, drawing, painting and digital development for the graphics and prints used in the Ikea collaboration.
Research and development of the concept of AW15 collection for print and silhouette. - Specialised in the design for print artwork that had a strong graphical identity but with a painterly form, to the digital realisation of the prints. - Responsible for overseeing the studio when the designers were on overseas business trips, assisted with co-ordinating store orders, arranged DHL deliveries, supervised and delegated tasks to the newer interns. - Coordinating with model agents to cast for show. - Assisting fittings - Responsible for liaising with the AW15 hat collaborator’s Bernstock and Spiers, discussing concept ideas and amendments. - Assisted backstage at catwalk shows, look-book shoots and e-store pack shoots.
2017 Designer Masters Collection AW Womenswear Sponsored by Harris Tweed Collection consisted of nine womenswear garments & accessories inspired by female Scottish Crofting community from the 18-1900. Printing onto tweed and digital artworks inspired by wetlands and woodland maps ordinance survey maps to create rural aesthetic. The collection demonstrated: surface and print design, digital embroidery& print placement, repeat pattern, pattern cutting, garment construction, styling and show direction
