Working side by side with Event Producers, I need to know their day-to-day schedules better than they do. Organising contactors, staff, travel plans, accommodation etc. These events bring out my strong organisational skills, love for a good plan and confidence in being able to talk to anyone. I tend work closely with production/stage teams making sure all is going to schedule.
• Overseeing front of house management on each of our 12 boutique venues at Isle of Wight Festival. • Making sure that each venue is adhering to the site licensing policies at Isle of Wight Festival & Glastonbury. • Production and Promotion manager of the company's operations during event season. • Overseeing the training and management of a team of 250+ people across several departments. • Liaising with tour managers to ensure the strict scheduled timings of the event are met, ensuring artists are being looked after at all times and that all their needs are met. • Ensuring artist information and arrangements and kept confidential. • Organising all travel/accommodation for artists, guests and production crews.
An artist’s experience whilst onsite is crucial. Acts on stage should have an equally pleasurable experience to those that are standing in the audience. For me timing is everything so I am dedicated to making sure that all runs to schedule. This Job entitled making sure the artists are also at the stage on time, riders are ready and stocked in fridges for artist’s arrival and also it’s important to be comfortable communicating with the artists. With this job organisation is key.
Hospitality and events have been all I’ve known my whole working life. This job helped me develop qualities with customers, being polite in trying moments and getting stuck in with all tasks that are set through the course of the day. Duties included floats for tills, receiving and recording deliveries, changing gas bottles, changing barrels and cleaning lines, Setting up bars, Running shifts alone. All for pop up events and festivals.
