With only two of us in the team I design across the whole range including; outerwear, woven
trousers, shirts, sweat shirting, jersey, knitwear, ensuring the collection meets the blueprint.
Attending collection fittings in Milan with Neil Barrett where we redesign as a team.
Ensuring all garment changes are noted, photographed and understood by the hong kong manufacturing liasion team.
Solving issues with pockets and details to ensure construction and fit is perfect.
Completing and updating garment tech-packs, to be understood by factories across Asia.
Researching conceptual and graphic inspiration, developing stories within each collection.
Researching for Neil Barrett’s main line brand; for example developing concepts for capsules & researching possible collaboration partners.
Carrying out model fittings in London and liaising with teams in Milan and Hong Kong.
Completing seasonal Files; Colourcard, PTC, MSL, MSO, CSO and Typerecord.
Allocating colours and fabrics ensuring any fabric minimums and liability from previous collections is used.
Illustrating the strongest outfits for each story and creating a stylised lineup.
Liasing with and ensuring that all teams have the same information via a stylebook.
