I am a first class Journalism graduate from the University of Portsmouth and also hold the NCTJ certificate along with 120wpm shorthand. Since leaving university, I have spent the past 20 months living and working in Australia as well as travelling through South East Asia. Since college I have worked at Boots Opticians as a side job to my studies. Whilst here I have been able to learn the key skills needed to work in a professional and medical environment as well as team building techniques. The job has also allowed me to take on leadership roles and has given me a greater understanding of workplace relationships.
Whilst in Australia I was employed as an assistant manager in a Specsavers store. This role enabled me to develop my optical and managerial experience and skills.
Whilst at The News I was involved in a number of stories from sourcing, to interviewing to writing. I also conducted a range of interviews and gathered content for a story which then made it to be the front page on January 1st.
Whilst at Morph PR I wrote a number of blog posts, brochures, social media posts and news articles for variety of clients.
