Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a Graphic Design MA graduate at Loughborough University. I have always had a passion for all things creative and University allowed me to express my creative ideas through editorial, information design, illustration, typography, screen design and branding. I also love to be practical and have worked with different print methods including screen printing, risograph, lino printing, lithography and letterpress. Outside of my degree, i enjoy traveling to different locations and going to museums and I am inspired by TV shows, and Films I watch as well as books I read.

My masters degree allowed me to be experimental and focus all my time and effort on to one project that I was passionate about. I researched and produced a final outcome which tackled body dysmorphia and celebrated body positivity in young women. I focused on the comic book industry as my research lead me to exploring the history and how female representation is often misrepresented and how they all have an 'ideal' body type and I wanted to produce a comic book where the female superheroes didnt follow the 'ideal' representation. The comic was printed as a risograph, and the printing method allowed me to use colour to visually set the tone and message of the comic to the viewer. In December I will be graduating with a distinction.
