I began working at BarChick as a Content & Admin Assistant which entailed uploading all content to the website using Wordpress as well as uploading to other sites like Huffington Post and Buzzfeed as well as making edits, sourcing images and resizing, updating databases, as well as writing copy as and when needed. I quickly began writing more regular copy and taking on all social media channels. I then became Campaign & Social Media Manager whilst continuing to fulfil my admin duties. My new duties included scheduling social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as monitoring and analysing weekly stats on followers, engagement and impressions, following trends and promoting relevant content accordingly, writing/editing and sending our weekly newsletter campaigns as well as paid newsletters and monthly specials. Also managing our Wordpress and training other team members in uploading onto the site and our company guidelines on formatting. More recently, as the company has changed more into an app development testing company, my job has become more focussed on data analysing and collating as well as dealing with clients on a one-to-one basis.
Managing social media profiles and collating information from relevant competitors and companies to follow trends and update information. Organise events and trips for the MD and associates including site visits and meetings. Going to events to network, learn about trends and talk about the company.
Dealing with customers for a nightclub arranging events for them as well as taking complaints, comments and assisting with general queries. Managing Twitter and Facebook, engaging with followers, monitoring trends and posting accordingly. Working with sales and marketing from head office to create promotions, events and effective ways of selling to customers.
