During my time at BooHoo I worked in both the data entry office and the e-commerce office. Here I would be assigned daily tasks to complete such as ordering clothing, checking through the website to make sure it is all working correctly, sending out app notifications, and looking through competitors websites to see what they were doing differently and then making a presentation on these ideas.

Although my time at Flare Sales was short I was lucky to gain the experience in the social media industry when previously I had very little, and I soon moved up to head of social media of the office. Here I would do many tasks such as look through social media for potential clients, go to photoshoots and shoot images for the clients, edit the images, and I also looked after around 8 social media profiles where I would upload content, reply to comments, reply to DM's and manage bookings (restaurants, hairdressers, etc), manage giveaways and boosting interaction.
Being head of social media meant that I was holding interviews to hire new staff and also training them. For training new staff I used to hold mini lessons on a morning where I would go through a presentation and explain different aspects of social media management to the new staff who often had no experience. I would then get them involved in tasks such as coming to photoshoots and working with me until they were able to take on clients of their own. It was a very rewarding experience to be able to move up the rank positions and also teach new people.

During my time at BIMM Manchester studying music journalism I was able to explore interests in the music industry such as PR and social media management. I learnt many skills during my time here such as presentation skills, organisation of projects, and working/learning independently.
I was able to write about many topics that interested me such as my final dissertation that helped me get my 2:1 degree. This discussed the matter of if music journalism can still exist under cancel culture and extreme online 'stans'.
