About me
Leah LaTouche is a 24 year old Black-British Illustrator and Designer based in London, UK.
Residing in one the most affluential multi-cultural societies has influenced LaTouche to illustrate unique characters reflecting race, culture and personal beliefs, depicted throughout her work.
Illustrations of humorous caricatures, comic-style quotes and bold prints may be her passion, but the contortionist source of information known as “The Media” stands as the driving source where LaTouche gains creative ideas and controversial issues to explore and respond to.
Studying a BA Hons Illustration Course gave LaTouche experiences working in the mediums of Clay (Ceramic Pottery), Woodwork, Lino-cutting, Screen-Printing, Risograph and Textile Printing, in addition to fluent use of the Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
LaTouche is interested in Advertising, Textile Printing, Digital Prints, Editorial Illustrations and Packaging Designs in response to trends, brands and consumerism. She has aspirations to create her own Brand selling various products, from Tote Bags to Graphic Print Hoodies.
Getting into the creative industry of Assistant Curating, Exhibitions & Gallery work is the main focus right now.

In March 2020 I signed up with local Creative Art Fairs & Markets to volunteer at some of the weekly craft events. I got the opportunity to work alongside Creative Directors and Event Coordinators at the well known United Colours ‘Portobello Artisan Market’, organised by ‘I Love Markets’ designed to showcase the diverse creative talents of West London and beyond! I had the role of;
• Assisting in the layout and setup of the market stalls
• Helping the market traders present their goods
• Network with local business owners, shop owners and entrepreneurs
I also hired out a market stall for the duration of the working day where I had such a great experience trading! I brought along many of my own graphic printed products form my business ‘LaTouche Illustrations’ to sell which included a range of bold prints, tote bags, t-shirt’s, mugs and satin cushions. Regardless of how much money I made I got the chance to meet many successful young adults and women running their own businesses which I greatly value! I’m thankful for the advice, help and life lessons I endured while volunteering at the United Colours of Portobello Artisan Market.
