Projects
  • Fairy on a Mushroom (Ink Painting)
Fairy on a Mushroom (Ink Painting)A more personal project, gifted to my parents.
  • Life Drawing: Aerial Yoga
Life Drawing: Aerial YogaA life drawing of an aerial yoga pose, drawn with a red coloured pencil on yellow card. I wanted to explore the contrast between softness and tension in the body.
  • Bloody Mary
Bloody MaryThe Virgin Mary altar and votive at The Duomo, Florence. The original photo was taken on 35mm film. Using an alternative process known as gum bichromate, I transferred the negative onto watercolour cardstock to achieve this look.
  • Reportage Illustration (ongoing)
Reportage Illustration (ongoing)Some quick drawings of friends, back from when I could safely draw people at cafes/bars. We had a sketching session during a break from our exhibition in February. When things calm down with the virus, I'd love to draw more people like this again.
  • A Love Twice as Fair
A Love Twice as FairA collaborative project between myself and UEA Creative Writing student, Nina Watson. We drew inspiration from Medieval manuscripts and fantasy to create a short queer love story. It was showcased at a public exhibition at NUA in February 2020. I illustrated the pictures and the border with ink and brush pens, and handpainted the illuminated typography. I then used InDesign to format the pictures and text, keeping the eight page limit in mind.
  • Environments: A Love Twice as Fair
Environments: A Love Twice as FairIllustrations as part of a collaborative short story, between myself and UEA Creative Writing student, Nina Watson. I mainly focused on using contrast and texture to elevate the book's atmosphere.

I worked in a small team for the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at UEA. Together we produced illustrations in response to various articles on climate change. The illustrations were put together in zines and can also be found online: https://tyndall.ac.uk/news/self-i-art-x-science-project-nua-and-tyndall-centre
