I have worked professionally in the print and design industry for over twenty-eight years in a variety of roles, including: Creative Designer, Graphic Designer, Creative Retoucher, Art Director, Team Leader, Production Manager, Artworker, Typesetter and Print Finisher.
Unconventionally, I began my career back to front at the end of the print process in print-finishing, but having drive and ambition I soon made the transition onto the Apple Mac in its DTP infancy to become an Artworker and Typesetter, before venturing into pre-press and reprographics. I then progressed into the field of Graphic Design. Fortune smiled upon me as I was given the amazing opportunity to work with the legendary Storm Thorgerson and became a Graphic Designer, Creative Retoucher and Art Director at StormStudios, a company that specialised in designing album covers, packages, artwork and other promotional material for many clients, including: Pink Floyd, Muse, The Victoria & Albert Museum and Biffy Clyro.
During my long and varied career, I have worked on a vast array of projects from concept to completion, which have included album cover design and packaging for CD, DVD and vinyl release, books & book covers, digital & hand-drawn illustrations, fine art prints, glamour retouching, signage, exhibitions, advertising, posters, logos, branding and mascot design. I am very much an all-rounder, I possesses the ability to produce complex and interesting artwork from concept to completion, whether working in a team or solo. I am incredibly driven and feels passionately about print, design, illustration, movies, books and of course, music.
Over my long career, I have worked on a bewildering array of fantastic projects and met so many talented people within this industry in the UK, US and Italy and I am looking forward to my next big and exciting, creative adventure.
For me it is not just work, it’s a lifestyle.
