About me
I’m an Austrian/Japanese commercial illustrator and printmaker, based in London, UK. I graduated from BA Illustration at Camberwell College of Art in 2020. As an illustrator and visual communicator, my role is to visually translate information to make it more compelling and engaging for its audience. In a commercial setting, this can be illustrations to complement text, like a piece of editorial or a narrative. In other cases, I illustrate to represent concepts and branding or to enhance campaigns.  My illustrations are created through a combination of traditional and digital tools. Every sketch starts with pencil, mono-printing or paint on paper. Later, these will be digitally coloured on Photoshop and Procreate. As a result, my work retains a lot of the natural and hand-made aspects of mark making, while being digitally enhanced to work well on screen and print. Having previously lived in various parts around the world, I draw a lot of inspiration from different cultures, which I filter into my work. My native heritage and adopted environments have played big parts in the development of my personal artistic practice in which I generally like to work with themes that span across cultures and build bridges to connect them.
