About me
I oversee an ongoing programme of events, performances and interactive experiences at Birch (handle.silk.comet) with the aim to bring people together and enhance connection through shared experiences. The role provides a platform for my love of music, people, food and drink, creativity, discovery, and brand building. It combines strategy and positioning, talent booking and curation, partnerships, budget/data management, and leadership. The Cultural Programme is the core offer that connects to the lead brand statement of ‘looking like a hotel, but acting like a festival’. — As well as working for Birch, I also DJ and book talent for Glastonbury Festival, and programme pop-up broadcasts on Amateurism Radio (co-founder).

The FINE+RARE podcast was born and for the

When the UK went into lockdown in March, I was working with fellow Amateurism collective members Leo Walton, Rob Leggatt and Aymen Bensaad on a collaborative mix that we could release around the time Amateurism should have been DJing at The Beat Hotel festival in Morocco. With all the year’s live music events cancelled, we wondered if we could do something with our mix beyond simply loa
  • It's Bigger Than
It's Bigger ThanIt’s Bigger Than was a monthly London party (which ran from 2004 - 2007) conceived and run by a collective of DJs (of which I was one) along with artist/designer James Joyce who created the visual identity (and the monthly flyers) for the club night. As IBT’s Cutmaster Max reminisces on the Tumblr site he created to commemorate the night, “We came up with the concept of loosely doing a Hip Hop night that, along with party bangers, would involve 70’s rock, 80’s pop and 90’s dance music.
