About me

Hi, I’m Leon — an Art Director, digital designer, WordPress web developer and founder of Built by Leon. I live and work in North London. For more than 15 years I’ve been creating magazines, adverts and bespoke websites focusing on good typography and user experience. More recently I’ve been focusing on optimising sites for SEO, Google PageSpeed and accessibility. I hand code my Wordpress themes from the ground up and all the sites I build are mobile-first and work across all major browsers and mobile devices. Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing clients including, among others, an international Gin company, a luxury holiday villas company, a BAFTA winning audio post production company and a luxury leather goods house. Previous to that, I worked as an Art Director at TMC USA (for 11 years) where we launched Women’s Golf Journal and Kingdom magazines alongside their digital offerings and various other print titles.
