Dear hiring manager
I am a young aspiring Fashion PR from South Africa. I am currently completing a Vogue Fashion Certificate at the Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design in London. I have over a year experience in the fashion industry at Associated Media Publishing in Cape Town which published Cosomopolitan South Africa as well as GoodHouseKeeping.
I have a degree in film and media studies. I have a fashion styling certificate, experience as a stylist’s assistant and as mentioned above I am completing the Vogue fashion certificate. My current course in London ends on the 5th of July 2019.
At my yearlong fashion internship, I had a number of responsibilities. I was in charge of the fashion closet, writing online articles for the publication and I was in constant contact with designers and PR agencies with regards to garments for our shoots. I updated our database with contacts of PR agencies and designers.
The writing at Cosmopolitan improved my proficiency in SEO and WordPress. I am currently learning Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
I have a huge interest in social media and I am quite aware of how analytics work, specifically for Instagram. I had the responsibility of posting stories on Instagram from PR events and fashion weeks when I was at Cosmopolitan magazine.
I am willing to work extremely hard and face any challenges that may come my way. I am young and looking for the opportunity to grow and learn everything about the world of fashion. I am passionate about everything I do, I am hard working and eager to learn. I would bring confidence, attention to detail and the willingness to take on any task. I work extremely well under pressure and would love the opportunity to learn more about the industry from you.
