'Circuit Frequency: Live Visuals' (2016)For the launch of the Circuit Programme's first music night, Frequency, I was appointed as Head of Visuals to create live video material to be projected during the musicians performances. My role also required me to encourage engagement with young people attending the event to film and edit footage of the event, to be projected at the event; a very fast process of film, edit, project. I was asked that the footage included material of the current 'Simon Starling' exhibition at the Nottingham Contemporary, drawings from previous Collabor-8 Collective workshops, footage from 'Affinity Festival' (November, 2015) and footage collected from the event. Due to time constraints and a last minute change of plan I opted to use iMovie as i felt that Final Cut Pro would have been too complicated to teach people on the night. Instead I experimented and came up with a process of overlapping filtered footage with different opacities to create effective visuals to accompany the event and live music.
