New Moon is perhaps most famous for the films made for London’s bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, Inspiration and Sport at Heart. New Moon makes a wide range of films, from feature length documentaries to internal communication films, business television and web virals to TVC’s. Clients include Qatar 2022, Microsoft, TfL, UKTI, COI, Tesco and Promethean • Digitizing and setting up AVID and Final Cut Pro projects - Working with Sony & Panasonic decks and tapeless formats from Sony EX1/3, Canon 5D and RED • Converting a variety of different media (archive, downloads, etc.) using MPEG Streamclip for use in edits • Exporting rough cuts and making DVDs or QT movies to send links for clients or production team • Organised deliverables for online/audio facilities • Created promotional materials linked to DVD showreels (e.g. building showreel menus and content, DVD covers, pitch documents and proposals using InDesign) • Rough edits and selects in Final Cut Pro with clients and directors • Responsible for maintaining tape & DVD libraries, QC material before leaving the building • Format and upload new work onto the company website, maintain the branded FTP site and update Intranet • Implemented a RAID Storage and LTO Archive system • Performing administrative/reception duties: i.e. tape/dvd stock orders; ordering camera and post equipment; maintain Post Production Calender - Suite/Editor bookings, answering phones
Framestore is known around the world for the groundbreaking visual imagery it has created for feature films, commercials and television shows such as The Dark Knight, The Golden Compass, Harry Potter and Primeval. Runners are responsible for client hospitality, including providing food and drinks. The main task of a runner is to ensure the cleanliness of the facility, including edit suites, reception and kitchen for the benefit of clients and colleagues. • Team Leader/Head Runner: Ensuring the comfort of clients and handling their requests in a friendly, reliable and efficient manner, delegating tasks to at least at team of 6 other runners, cashing up petty cash after each shift • Training on Reception: Circulate post around the company, covering lunch breaks at front desk, ordering stationery and greeting clients • Training in Library/Despatch: Deliver & collect tapes/film reels around Soho, archive tapes/reels in the library, book items in and out of the library using ScheduAll • Training in MCR: Digitise footage from commercials, blank (wipe) tapes, create copies in various formats (VHS, CD, DVD), label tapes
