I work for Italia Slow Tour on a freelance basis, writing articles for them about places of interest in Italy. My trips have included travelling to Rome, the Marche region and Puglia. This work has required fluent Italian, and good social media skills as I upload posts and pictures daily when I am on assignment.

I worked as a features writer in Los Angeles for L'Italo-Americano, the oldest Italian/American newspaper in the USA (est.1908). I self-sourced stories and interviewed people across time-zones in both Italian and English, covering stories from exhibitions at the Getty Center to poets and bakers. My first story made front page (Taormina Film Festival 2015).
I was chosen to be their brand ambassador on a press tour to the Vatican, where I submitted a daily seven-day blog.
The work required a very high standard of Italian, bags of initiative, self-motivation and creative authenticity.
