Open-minded and motivated womenswear fashion designer, with extensive experience in the areas of Fashion Design and Garment Technology, proven ability in both womenwear and menswear. As a Design Assistant at NIKITA KARIZMA I have been working with her main line "NIKITA KARIZMA" and her commercial line "KARIZMA". Assisting Nikita Karizma with day-to-day taskes, meeting stylist as well as concept development, research, designing, sampling and pattern cutting.
As a design studio intern I was working with the KTZ SS16 Womenswear collection and helping with various tasks needed before London Fashion Week. I was helping in the day-to-day running of the studio, contacting suppliers, e-mails, creative patterncutting for the SS16 collection, sewing and styling the looks for the KTZ SS16. During the KTZ SS16 Catwalk Show I was helping with the organization, running-order, and dressing models. The internship has gained me strong experience and knowledge of working in a well establish design studio.
As a design assistant I was supporting the head designer, Pauline van Dongen, through her Oloid 2014 collection and various projects that focus on wearable technology. The internship provided a clear insight into the development process, which had a strong focus on research and innovation. Through the internship I was helping the head designer with research, sampling, creative patterncutting, experimenting with new materials, prototyping and testing, working on show pieces and sewing final garments. I also assisted the Oloid 2014 photoshoot and presentation.
