Lilian Hess is an independent director and creative producer based between Germany and the UK. A documentarist at heart and former scholar of Modern Literature and Surrealism, Lilian’s multi-awarded work spans not only a vast variety of themes, ranging from explorations of friendship, disease, migration and architecture, but she also works across different media. Regardless of subject matter or medium, her storytelling places at its centre the human experience.

I was hired as the lead producer of Satore's award winning multi-sensory VR performance "Cosmos Within Us", which was shown and won awards at the Venice Biennale 2019 (Nominated for Best Interactive), PGA Innovation Award 2019 (Nomination), Raindance Film Festival (Winner of Spirit of Raindance Award), VR Days (Winner of Halo Award for Best Creative Accomplishment).

• Supervising a team of developers, designers and VFX artists during production/post-production
• Pitching for funding at film festivals such as VR Days Amsterdam, IFFR and Cannes XR
• Seeking out European co-producers for creative collaboration and to obtain international funding

• Managing the organisation of shoots, prototype showcases and live-performances at festivals in the UK and abroad
