I'm a filmmaker and photographer with a background in documentaries.
My films have been screened in major cities across 4 continents and my photography has been exhibited in galleries in London. My award-winning documentary Drummies follows a group of girls as they navigate the challenges of poverty, gang violence, and girlhood in the townships of Cape Town. Saudade explores Afro-Brazilian identity and inherited nostalgia in Bahia, Brazil through music, dance, and ritual. Most recently, my coverage of BLM in New York will be featured in a SCNR documentary on black journalists.
I holds a B.S. from UC Berkeley and a M.S. in Media Production from Imperial College London, where I graduated with distinction.
