Hi,
My name is Lilly Meikle and I am a fine art and photography graduate. I currently work at Anne Haimes Interiors and run the boutique which involves managing the social media, deliveries and stock, buying of home accessories with Anne and being the visual merchandiser for the store. This job allows me to be creative and use my photography and videography skills to develop campaigns and create proposals, to research and develop new ways to promote the company.
During my time at Brighton University I was awarded the Santander Community and Engagement Award for achieving over 200 hours of voluntary experience, this involved using my art skills to support organisations like Arts Connect and Thera Trust. I assisted in supporting artists in the courses they ran to support groups of people with learning disabilities, this involved attending meetings with the organisations to develop ideas of how arts courses could be ran. I also ran my own arts course with Thera Trust and managed the course with the director of Thera. All these hours contributed to creating photographs and videos to promote these companies, my work was also submitted to the Sussex Council which then supported getting funding for Culture Shift.
I enjoy using my art skills to promote a message and have adapted these skills through different industries, I have had many years of experience of working with different groups of people. These communication skills have allowed me to build my own wedding and events business, this has been successful and continues to grow whilst meeting new people.
As a brad ambassador for companies like Samsung, Cadburys and BMW I know how to work with a brief, and communicate to promote a message in a personable way. I now would like to develop and challenge my creative ideas further in a new company.
With all my previous experiences, I know I work well with a group and independantly, I am a hard worker and just keen to learn and be given a challenge!

I have worked part and full time at Anne Haimes Interiors. Being the head of social media I manage the Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Houz accounts, this has allowed me to experiment and develop my interior photography and understand how to promote home accessories and interior projects. I also write blogs about interior design which goes onto the website; this allows the company to keep current with seasons, events and issues that relate back to the services Anne Haimes Interiors provides. I am also the visual merchandiser for the boutique and change the displays weekly and work with the head designer to create the window display. I also work alongside Anne and assist with the buying of home accessories for the boutique shop.

I have been accepted onto a 6 week placement in Sri Lanka for SLV Global in November 2017. During my time there, I will be working on eight different projects, including working in a psychiatric hospital, rehabilitation centre and also in a local school to teach English. All these experiences will be using my creative ideas to stimulate service users.
