Recent graduate with first class MA and BA in Creative Writing and English Literature. Recipient of the John Younger Prize for Creative Writing and runner-up for the Alison Morland Poetry Prize, with work published in journals including Poetry and Audience and Tenterhook. Capable and communicative approach informed by work experience in the high-stress, integrated industries of care and hospitality. Support worker for vulnerable people living with brain injuries and other learning difficulties. Responsibilities centred around improving their living conditions - from the management of day-to-day tasks to more complex conversations about emotional wellbeing and employment opportunities. This role was extremely physical, but also included experience in personal and office accounting and most importantly required the ability to handle volatile situations as they arose and communicate to people with specific needs.

Poetry was published in the literary journal 'Poetry and Audience' and my short-story was put on the University website as an example for future students. The degree culminated in writing a 9000 word section of my own novel (with companion essay), which I have continued to work on. Became a confident public speaker through reading aloud at Creative Writing showcases. Developed and honed ability to edit my/others writing in workshop settings and am particularly adept at phrasing criticism in diplomatic but insightful ways.
