Bio
Lily Kim Qian is currently based in New York. She is a second year student in the BFA Illustration program at Parsons the New School of Design.
Growing up shuttled between Canada and China, her 'East meets West' perspective influences her work where ambiguous narratives portray a sense of cultural ambiguity and displacement.
Work
Lily's body of work focuses on exploring the transient and surreal, often with a blend of eastern influence and natural motifs. She specializes in digital iPad Pro illustrations, watercolor paintings and intricate ink drawings.
A constant learner, Lily values adaptability and constructive criticism. She is always striving to expand her repertoire and find ways to improve her art making process.
